If we want to make a show about important things, why start with porn? Not only does it not seem that important, but it's so difficult to talk about. It's also the world's biggest industry, which made us wonder, what makes porn tick? Why is it what it is? Is porn, maybe, important after all?

We talked to porn stars, porn producers, porn addicts, and a porn pastor -- people who have had porn alter their lives. Their stories reveal an industry built on a lot more than skin and sex. In fact, they show an unforgettable new reality to the industry.

Why We Decided to Call This Show Footnote*

Where are the important things?

The headlines, or the captions? The marquee, or the gutter? The sky, or your dresser?

Just where are the important things?

Truth is, most of our time is spent in between that big stuff. We live our lives in annotations, by the way’s, and P.S’s. In extra details.

We wanted this show to be about important things, and to do that, we had to look for the small stuff. And what we found there was parenthetical and small. But it was also where we really found people. And life. And God Himself.

And it was important.

It's just not possible to make a show about spirituality that will make everyone happy, but we think that this show is at least interesting. In getting people's opinions on spirituality, we found one thing for sure that should have been obvious from the start: spirituality isn't an opinion at all. It's a reality

We couldn't do it with less, and if I tried to explain how close we've gotten while making this show, it'd sound like exaggeration. Nevertheless, with every person we add to the team, it's one more person who needs to be happy with the final outcome. One more of us...
